Effect of graphene oxide on the pH-responsive drug release from supramolecular hydrogels

Felipe Olate-Moya et al.

Summary: The study developed an injectable poly(pseudorotaxane) (PPR) hydrogel containing graphene oxide for pH-responsive controlled release of doxorubicin hydrochloride (DOX). The gelation rates of the PEG/alpha-CD supramolecular structures were modulated depending on the reagent concentrations. Furthermore, disruption of ionic interactions between DOX and GO in the nanocomposite at pH = 5.5 resulted in a higher DOX release compared to physiological conditions.

An Electrochemical Sensing Platform Based on Graphene Oxide and Molecularly Imprinted Polymer Modified Electrode for Selective Detection of Amoxicillin

Sevgi Guney et al.

Summary: An electrochemical sensing platform based on a composite material, MIP-GO, was developed for the selective and sensitive analysis of amoxicillin. The MIP-GO composite was deposited as a thin film on a glassy carbon electrode and showed a linear response for the determination of amoxicillin in a concentration range from 5.0x10(-10) to 9.1x10(-7) M, with a detection limit of 2.94x10(-10) M.

Graphene Oxide Assemblies for Sustainable Clean-Water Harvesting and Green-Electricity Generation

Yaxin Huang et al.

Summary: GO, as a derivative of graphene, is a promising nanomaterial with various applications in environmental and energy-related fields. Its thin thickness, water solubility, and assembly into different structures make it ideal for efficient solar-driven water evaporation. Its intrinsic properties such as large specific area, porous assemblies, and abundant functional groups enable it to adsorb ions and water molecules, generating electricity through directional transport of protons.
