Examining instruments used to measure knowledge of catheter-associated urinary tract infection prevention in health care workers: A systematic review

Salisu Abubakar et al.

Summary: In summary, this study evaluated instruments for measuring CAUTI prevention knowledge and found that the existing tools are inadequate and the quality assessment is insufficient. There is a need for a standardized instrument to evaluate CAUTI prevention knowledge in order to improve interventions.

Behavioural interventions to address rational use of antibiotics in outpatient settings of low-income and lower-middle-income countries

Mohit M. Nair et al.

Summary: This study examined interventions to influence antibiotic prescribing behavior in outpatient settings in low-income and lower-middle-income countries. Results showed that educational interventions alone may not be enough to prevent inappropriate antibiotic use, and that bundle interventions combining regulation enforcement, education, and peer influence were more effective in curbing inappropriate antibiotic prescribing.

Psychometric properties of leadership scales for health professionals: a systematic review

Melissa A. Carlson et al.

Summary: This review identified several reliable and valid scales for measuring leadership traits and behaviors in health professionals, primarily nurses. However, the validation of leadership scales for physicians is lacking, indicating a significant gap in psychometric testing for healthcare implementation research and practice.
