Streamer-to-precursor transition in N2-SF6 mixtures under positive repetitive submicrosecond pulses

Zheng Zhao et al.

Summary: The evolution of discharge dynamics in N-2-SF6 mixtures under long-term repetitive submicrosecond pulses was investigated, revealing the effects of various factors on discharge evolutions. Unexpected complexities were reported for the first time in the discharge evolutions under repetitive pulses when a strong electronegative gas is introduced.

Breakdown, discharge modes, and gaseous recovery of atmospheric air with repetitive 10 ns pulses

Yutai Li et al.

Summary: This study investigated the breakdown and recovery characteristics of highly repetitive and short nanosecond pulsed discharge. It found that higher repetitive rates lead to longer breakdown distances, and that the recovery of gas density after short nanosecond pulsed breakdown is three orders of magnitude faster than after microsecond pulsed breakdown.

High voltage nanosecond pulse generator based on diode opening switch and magnetic switch

Zichen Deng et al.

Summary: A novel topology based on magnetic switches and diode opening switches for low-temperature plasma generators has been proposed in this study, with a prototype developed and tested successfully. The experimental results demonstrate its capability to generate plasma pulses on a 300 Ohm resistive load.
