Motor repertoire is age-inadequate in infants with cystic fibrosis

Haluk Tekerlek et al.

Summary: Infants with cystic fibrosis (CF) exhibited age-inadequate motor repertoire with 50% showing abnormal or absent/sporadic fidgety movements (FMs). Motor optimality score (MOS) was positively associated with vitamin A level and negatively correlated with hospitalization duration in CF infants. MOS tended to decrease with increased disease severity, suggesting a potential role in predicting disease severity in CF.
