Investigation on multifunctional binary oxides for near-infrared (NIR) reflective pigment applications

Summary: This study investigated the solar reflective and color pigmentation effectiveness of multifunctional binary oxides using XRD and DRS techniques. The results showed that Gd2O3, Sb2O3, Ta2O5, Nb2O5, and Y2O3 exhibited interesting features in the NIR region, while MnO2 and Cr2O3 had lower NIR reflectance.

Molecular dynamics study on the mechanical and tribological properties of polyimide reinforced by lanthana

Preparation and characterization of CuO/Co3O4/poly(methyl methacrylate) nanocomposites for optical and dielectric applications

Summary: Composites of transition metal oxides (TMOs)/polymers have many applications in modern technology, industry, and biology. In this study, Co3O4 and CuO nanoparticles were synthesized and doped into PMMA, resulting in nanocomposites with improved optical properties and low dielectric loss. CuO was found to be more effective than Co3O4 in enhancing the optical parameters of the nanocomposites.

Structural and electrical properties of pure and doped lanthanum oxide

Summary: The structural and electrical properties of rare earth oxides La2O3 (LO) and LaNdO3 (LNO) were studied using XRD analysis, W-H plot analysis, frequency-dependent dielectric constant and loss tangent measurements, as well as ac conductivity measurements. The study also employed relaxation mechanism and universal dielectric response model to estimate the relaxation time and contribution of charge carriers in the samples. The frequency-dependent impedance behavior in the context of grains and grain boundaries was discussed for both samples.
