Switchable and Enhanced Absorption via Qubit-Mechanical Nonlinear Interaction in a Hybrid Optomechanical System

Summary: The output field features of a hybrid optomechanical system (HOMS) are analytically investigated. The nonlinear interaction and mechanical driving field modulation can generate an additional OMIT window and enhance absorption or amplification in specific regions depending on the relative phase and intensity. Manipulating transmission spectra in such HOMS may have applications in optical switches/transistors.

Entangling the vibrational modes of two massive ferromagnetic spheres using cavity magnomechanics

Summary: In this study, a scheme is proposed to entangle the vibrational phonon modes of two massive ferromagnetic spheres in a dual-cavity magnomechanical system. By directly driving the magnon mode with a red-detuned microwave field, a cavity-magnon-phonon state-swap interaction can be realized, leading to the remote entanglement of the two ferromagnetic spheres. This work demonstrates that cavity magnomechanical systems enable the preparation of quantum entangled states at a larger scale than currently possible with other schemes.

Entanglement and coherence in a hybrid Laguerre-Gaussian rotating cavity optomechanical system with two-level atoms

Summary: The theoretical investigation of quantum entanglement and coherence in a hybrid Laguerre-Gaussian rotating cavity optomechanical system with two-level atoms shows that the injection of atoms can significantly improve the degree of optomechanical entanglement, while the quantum coherence is enhanced only when the atom is significantly off-resonant to the driving field.

Parity-symmetry-breaking quantum phase transition via parametric drive in a cavity magnonic system

Summary: We studied the parity-symmetry-breaking quantum phase transition in a cavity magnonic system driven by a parametric field, which can exhibit a rich phase diagram including parity-symmetric, parity-symmetry-broken, and bistable phases with appropriate parameters. Beyond a critical threshold of drive strength, the system undergoes a first- or second-order nonequilibrium QPT from the parity-symmetric phase with microscopic excitations to the parity-symmetrybroken phase with macroscopic excitations, depending on the system parameters. Our work offers an alternative way to engineer the QPT in a hybrid quantum system containing a spin ensemble in ferri- or ferromagnetic materials with strong exchange interactions.
