Thermal and dipolar interaction effect on the relaxation in a linear chain of magnetic nanoparticles

Manish Anand

Summary: Computer simulations were used to study relaxation in a one-dimensional chain of dipolar interacting magnetic nanoparticles, revealing that dipolar interactions can slow down magnetic relaxation and increase the effective Neel relaxation time. Microscopic analyses showed that an increase in dipolar interaction strength or a decrease in thermal fluctuations lead to enhanced ferromagnetic coupling.

Tailoring Local Hysteresis in Small Clusters of Dipolar Interacting Magnetic Nanoparticles

Manish Anand

Summary: Through calculations and simulations, it was found that dipolar interaction promotes chain-like arrangement in clusters of magnetic nanoparticles, and different sizes of clusters have varying effects on local hysteresis. The dipolar field acting directly influences the local hysteresis response of the nanoparticles.
