Ballistic electrical-thermal transport properties and their applications in graphene-nanoribbon-stacked heterojunctions

Xian-Ran Zhang et al.

Summary: This study investigates the thermal, electrical, and thermoelectric properties of graphene-nanoribbon-stacked heterojunctions using density functional theory and non-equilibrium Green's function technique. The results show that layer-layer interaction in stacked quasi-monolayer nanoribbon structures can lead to high figure-of-merit values, making them potentially valuable for multifunction device applications. The research also reveals the sensitivity of current and electron thermal conductance to the geometry details of the layer-stacked structure.
