Prediction of hydrate formation temperature using gene expression programming

Menad Nait Amar

Summary: In this study, a reliable and simple-to-use correlation for predicting hydrate formation temperature of different natural gas types was established using gene expression programming (GEP) technique. The correlation exhibited excellent prediction performance, outperforming preexisting models, with an average absolute relative error (AARE) of 0.1397%. Additionally, the statistical validity of the GEP-based correlation was confirmed through outliers detection.

Prediction of equilibrium conditions for gas hydrates in the organic inhibitor aqueous solutions using a thermodynamic consistency-based model

Siguang Li et al.

Summary: Considering organic inhibitors' role in preventing hydrate formation, a model was developed to predict phase equilibria in different solutions. Results showed improved accuracy when combining the Chen-Guo model with the modified HLS correlation for different organic inhibitors. The modified model also outperformed in predicting phase equilibria of C2H6 and CO2 hydrates compared to existing models.
