It has been discovered that under mild reaction conditions, two carbon-carbon bonds can be formed using vinylarenes, alkylsilyl peroxides, and beta-keto carbonyl substrates with the presence of catalytic Fe(OTf)2.
The formation of two carbon-carbon bonds usingvinylarenes with alkylsilyl peroxides and beta-keto carbonyl substratesis effected by the presence of catalytic Fe(OTf)2under mildreaction conditions. A variety of vinylarenes with differentsubstituents can be utilized in combination with several differentalkylsilyl peroxides and beta-keto carbonyl substrates.
