Fluid compositions reveal fluid nature, metal deposition mechanisms, and mineralization potential: An example at the Haobugao Zn-Pb skarn, China

Qihai Shu et al.

Summary: The study of fluid inclusion compositions at the Haobugao Zn-Pb skarn in northeastern China using laser ablation-inductively coupled plasma-mass spectrometry provides insights into fluid origin, evolution, and metal deposition mechanisms. The results show that the early, prograde fluids were magmatic, later mixing with meteoric fluid caused dilution and metal deposition, and fluid-carbonate reactions facilitated Zn-Pb precipitation. The study also suggests low metal endowment at Haobugao, making it unlikely to find significant amounts of Sn or Mo in the area.

Establishment of a research workflow for occurrence state of critical metal in ore concentrate powder: A case study of the cobalt-rich sulfur ore concentrate powder from the Middle -Lower Yangtze River Valley Metallogenic Belt, China

Zhang YiFan et al.

Summary: The Middle-Lower Yangtze River Valley Metallogenic Belt in China is rich in economically valuable ores like copper, gold, iron, and sulfur, along with potentially available critical elements such as cadmium, cobalt, selenium, tellurium, and rhenium. Understanding the occurrence of these critical elements in ore concentrations is crucial for their utilization.
