Summary: This study presents a method for achieving fifth-harmonic generation in ADP, significantly increasing UV energies by utilizing large ADP crystals. Noncritical phase matching and appropriate cooling methods were used to achieve high conversion efficiency for the fifth harmonic generation.

Picosecond high-power 213-nm deep-ultraviolet laser generation using ß-BaB2O4 crystal

Summary: In this study, the researchers successfully achieved an average power output of 1.37 W for a picosecond deep ultraviolet (DUV) laser at 213 nm using beta-BaB2O4 (BBO) crystals. This is the highest output power recorded for a 213 nm picosecond laser system with an all-solid-state setup. The laser system produces over 1.3 µJ 213-nm pulse energy and maintains stable operation for over 100 hours.
