Arbitrary polarization conversion dichroism metasurfaces for all-in-one full Poincare sphere polarizers

Shuai Wang et al.

Summary: This study presents an effective strategy for designing full Poincare sphere polarizers and implements it in a monolayer all-dielectric metasurface. By leveraging this strategy, it allows the transmission and conversion of polarization states located at arbitrary positions on the Poincare sphere, with high experimental efficiency.

Ultrathin dual-mode vortex beam generator based on anisotropic coding metasurface

Liang Zhang et al.

Summary: An anisotropic coding metasurface is proposed in this paper to achieve a dual-mode vortex beam generator by independently manipulating orthogonally linearly polarized waves. The ultrathin single-layer ground-backed Jerusalem cross structure provides complete and independent control of the incident waves, simplifying the design process. Experimental measurements on the fabricated prototype demonstrate high quality and good agreement with theoretical designs and simulation results, suggesting potential applications in wireless communication systems in the microwave region.

Recent advances in optical dynamic meta-holography

Hui Gao et al.

Summary: Holography is an ideal approach for future deep-immersive naked-eye display, but traditional holographic devices have shortcomings. Metasurfaces, composed of subwavelength unit cells, show great potential in manipulating light fields to overcome these drawbacks. Emerging applications of dynamic meta-holography may accelerate the development of light field manipulation and micro/nanofabrication.
