Psychopathic traits predict moral judgements in five moral domains: The mediating effect of unpleasantness

Shuer Ye et al.

Summary: The study found that psychopathic traits predicted moral distinctions in the Care foundation in the non-forensic sample. Additionally, psychopathic traits predicted moral acceptability ratings in all moral foundations in the non-forensic sample but only in the Care and Loyalty foundations in the forensic sample. Lastly, unpleasantness fully mediated the relationship between psychopathic traits and moral judgments in both samples.
