Unsteady hybrid nanofluid flow on a stagnation point of a permeable rigid surface

Iskandar Waini et al.

Summary: This study investigates the unsteady flow of Al2O3-Cu/water hybrid nanofluid on a stagnation point of a permeable rigid surface and finds dual solutions exist for negative unsteadiness with some mass flux parameters. The heat transfer rate is intensified with hybrid nanoparticles, and an increase in the mass flux parameter tends to increase heat transfer rate and skin friction. The study also shows a reduction in skin friction coefficient and higher heat transfer rate for smaller values of the unsteadiness parameter, with the first solution being stable and reliable over time according to a temporal stability analysis.

Nurul Amira Zainal et al.

Summary: This study analyzed the unsteady electro-magnetohydrodynamic stagnation point flow in a hybrid nanofluid on a stretching/shrinking sheet, and found that the inclusion of nanoparticles increases the skin friction coefficient and local Nusselt number. The coordination of the electric and magnetic fields delays the progression of the fluid, while the unsteadiness parameter has a decreasing impact on heat transfer performance.

Mixed convective stagnation point flow of a hybrid nanofluid toward a vertical cylinder

Najiyah Safwa Khashi'ie et al.

Summary: This paper numerically analyzes the stagnation point flow of Cu-Al2O3/water hybrid nanofluid with mixed convection past a flat plate and circular cylinder. The study finds that an increase in the curvature parameter tends to extend the critical value and improve heat transfer performance. The application of hybrid Cu-Al2O3/water nanofluid can decelerate the separation of laminar boundary layer flow and generate higher heat transfer rates compared to Cu-water nanofluid and pure water.

Summary: This study investigates mixed convection of a thermo micropolar hybrid nanofluid through a vertical surface in a saturated porous medium, considering inertial and microstructure characteristics. It distinguishes the effects of two distinct nanoparticles, MgO and Ag, in enhancing heat transfer rates and thermal performance. By transforming the leading equations into ordinary differential equations using similarity transformations, unique outcomes are obtained for buoyancy aiding flow, while dual or multiple outcomes exist for buoyancy opposing flow.
