Solvent-Driven Supramolecular Wrapping of Self-Assembled Structures

Guillermo Moreno-Alcantar et al.

Summary: Self-assembly relies on the ability of smaller entities to arrange into organized systems, with the design of the media playing a crucial role. The media determines the self-assembly pathway and can control the wrapping process of supramolecular homo-aggregates by a different crystal lattice component. This reverse coating process is controlled by the media composition and could lead to the construction of hierarchical supramolecular structures.
