Enhanced electrocatalytic overall water splitting over novel one-pot synthesized Ru-MoO3-x, and Fe3O4-NiFe layered double hydroxide on Ni foam

Jianmei Cen et al.

Summary: Two novel electrocatalysts, Ru-MoO3-x NF and Fe3O4-NiFe LDH NF, were simultaneously grown on Ni foam through a one-step hydrothermal method, showing good performance for HER and OER. A two-electrode water splitting device was fabricated with these catalysts, demonstrating low overpotentials and long term durability.

Ru to W electron donation for boosted HER from acidic to alkaline on Ru/WNO sponges

Ge Meng et al.

Summary: The developed Ru@WNO-C catalyst exhibits excellent HER catalytic performance and long-term stability, mainly due to the in-situ electron donation from Ru to W and the catalyst structure activation after residual Zn species leaching. Additionally, the catalyst shows outstanding HER catalytic activity in non-acidic solutions.
