Machine Learning of Reaction Properties via Learned Representations of the Condensed Graph of Reaction

Esther Heid et al.

Summary: This study combined the condensed graph of reaction (CGR) with a graph convolutional neural network (GCNN) to develop a versatile, robust, and compact deep learning model for chemical reactions. The model outperforms current state-of-the-art models in accuracy, applicability, and predictive capabilities for diverse target properties. A large curated dataset of atom-mapped reactions with their target properties is provided as benchmark data for future work.

Automatic Approach to Explore the Multireaction Mechanism for Medium-Sized Bimolecular Reactions via Collision Dynamics Simulations and Transition State Searches

Qinghai Cui et al.

Summary: The study introduces a computational method for automatic exploration of bimolecular multireaction mechanism, which significantly reduces trajectory numbers and computational costs in BOMD simulations through pre-screening steps and simulation tricks. Experimental results demonstrate that the method shows great potential in searching for reaction mechanisms of medium-sized bimolecular compounds.

Generative adversarial networks for transition state geometry prediction

Malgorzata Z. Makos et al.

Summary: This study introduces a novel application of generative adversarial networks (GANs) for predicting starting geometries in transition state searches of chemical reactions. The TS-GAN efficiently maps the potential energy space between reactants and products to generate reliable TS guess structures, showing high accuracy and efficiency compared to classical approaches. The current TS-GAN can be extended to any dataset with sufficient chemical reaction data for training, and the software is freely available for training, experimentation, and prediction.

Kinetic Modeling of API Oxidation: (1) The AIBN/H2O/CH3OH Radical Soup

Alon Grinberg Dana et al.

Summary: This study investigated the radical soup solution an API is subject to during stress testing and generated a detailed chemical kinetics model using ab initio electronic structure calculations. The research found that the levels and types of prominent reactive species in the API stress testing system vary under different pH conditions.

Regio-selectivity prediction with a machine-learned reaction representation and on-the-fly quantum mechanical descriptors

Yanfei Guan et al.

Summary: Accurate and rapid evaluation of whether substrates can undergo the desired the transformation is crucial and challenging for both human knowledge and computer predictions. The proposed method combines machine-learned reaction representation with selected quantum mechanical descriptors to predict regio-selectivity in general substitution reactions. The method enhances the performance for selectivity predictions, enables learning from small datasets, and is generally applicable to a diverse range of chemical spaces.
