Silver nanocubes monolayers as a SERS substrate for quantitative analysis

Ziang Zhou et al.

Summary: The paper presents a silver nanocubes/polyelectrolyte/gold film sandwich structure as a reproducible, high-performance SERS substrate for sensitive analysis of molecules. The results indicate that organized ensembles of Ag nanocubes can serve as effective SERS substrate for complex molecular systems.

Light-Trapping SERS Substrate with Regular Bioinspired Arrays for Detecting Trace Dyes

Xuan Jin et al.

Summary: This study successfully fabricated ordered micropyramids with strong light-trapping capability and assembled Ag nanobowls on them to form a SERS substrate with a bioinspired compound-eyes structure. The evidence for the contribution of antireflective Si micropyramids to Raman enhancement was presented for the first time, allowing for quantitative and qualitative detection of dyes and suggesting good prospects for application in optical sensors.

Highly reproducible SERS sensor based on self-assembled Au nanocubic monolayer film for sensitive and quantitative detection of glutathione

Yalan Li et al.

Summary: A novel SERS sensor is proposed for detecting low concentrations of GSH in human serum, utilizing a dense monolayer film of self-assembly Au Nano cubes to enhance Raman spectroscopy through electrostatic interaction. The sensor shows a linear relationship between the relative spectral intensity of TNB characteristic peak and the concentration of GSH between 50 and 750 nM, with a detection limit of 50 nM. The SERS substrate used in the sensor is easy to prepare, highly uniform, and reproducible, offering potential for clinical applications in sensitive and quantitative detection of trace analytes.

Mesoporous silica-loaded gold nanocluster with enhanced fluorescence and ratiometric fluorescent detection of thiram in foods

Hong-Xin Ren et al.

Summary: By preparing a core-shell QDs@mSiO(2)@y-AuNCs nanoprobe, a new ratiometric fluorescent sensor for thiram detection was successfully developed. The mechanism of thiram sensing was attributed to the formation of Au-S bonds between thiram and Au atoms on y-AuNCs surface, leading to the dissociation of 11-MUA ligand from the y-AuNCs surface and the charge transfer between thiram and y-AuNCs. The ratiometric fluorescence detection of thiram based on QDs@mSiO(2)@y-AuNCs showed a 3-fold enhanced sensitivity compared to fluorescence detection based on y-AuNCs, with a linear range of 0.5-60 ng/mL and a LOD of 0.19 ng/mL.
