The method demonstrated simple, low cost, good selectivity, and sensitivity, and was successfully applied to quantify ascorbic acid in beverage samples.

Chitosan coated zinc curcumin oxide nanoparticles for the determination of ascorbic acid

Summary: Zinc curcumin oxide nanoparticles coated with chitosan were successfully synthesized and proved to be an excellent nanoprobe for detecting ascorbic acid. The nanoparticles showed high crystallinity and stability at high temperatures. The detection method based on fluorescence emission technique was found to be fast, stable, easy to manipulate, and selective with high recovery rates.
