Role of endocrine disrupting chemicals in children's neurodevelopment

Viviana Ramirez et al.

Summary: The study aimed to review limited literature on the effects of postnatal exposure to EDC on child neurodevelopment and behavior. While some research suggests a relationship between postnatal EDC exposure and adverse neurobehavioral outcomes in children, the underlying mechanisms of action remain unclear.

A fabric phase sorptive extraction method for the LC-UV determination of bisphenol A and leaching monomers from dental materials in human saliva

Eirini Andreasidou et al.

Summary: A rapid and simple fabric phase sorptive extraction (FPSE) method using sol-gel technology was developed for the simultaneous extraction of four monomers in human saliva. The optimized FPSE method demonstrated excellent extraction efficiency and stability. The developed method was successfully validated in terms of sensitivity, linearity, trueness, precision, selectivity, and stability of samples. The method's green nature was enhanced by the robustness and reusability of the media.

Presence of Parabens and Bisphenols in Food Commonly Consumed in Spain

Yolanda Galvez-Ontiveros et al.

Summary: This study analyzed the levels of parabens and bisphenols in commonly consumed food samples in Spain, finding detectable levels of parabens in 56% of samples and bisphenols in 52% of samples. The concentrations and detection frequencies of parabens and bisphenols varied among the samples.

Urine and saliva biomonitoring by HF-LPME-LC/MS to assess dinitrophenols exposure

Julia Kazakova et al.

Summary: This study proposed a method for the determination of 2,4-, 2,5-, and 2,6-dinitrophenols and some of their metabolites in human urine and saliva. By using liquid phase microextraction coupled with ultra-high performance liquid chromatography-quadrupole time-of-flight mass spectrometry, low detection and quantitation limits of the target analytes were achieved, allowing the investigation and tentative identification of metabolites.
