A Transfer Learning-Based Multi-Instance Learning Method With Weak Labels

Yanshan Xiao et al.

Summary: This article proposes a new framework called transfer learning-based multiple instance learning (TMIL) to address the problem of multiple instance transfer learning where both the source task and the target task contain weak labels. The TMIL model with weak labels is constructed to transfer knowledge from the source task to the target task, and an iterative framework is presented to update the bag labels and improve the performance of multiple instance learning. The proposed method outperforms existing methods and can correct the initial labels for the bags.

Development and Validation of an Automated Radiomic CT Signature for Detecting COVID-19

Julien Guiot et al.

Summary: In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, an automated AI framework to extract radiomics features from chest CT scans was developed to aid in diagnosis. The model demonstrated high accuracy and sensitivity in an independent test dataset. When benchmarked against confirmed COVID-19 cases, the AI framework was able to accurately differentiate COVID-19 from routine clinical conditions.
