Dexamethasone can attenuate the pulmonary inflammatory response via regulation of the lncH19/miR-324-3p cascade

Ye Chen et al.

Summary: This study investigated the roles of lncRNAs in regulating the pulmonary inflammatory response under dexamethasone treatment. Results indicated that lncH19 was closely associated with the inflammatory response and could potentially regulate miR-324-3p to modulate inflammation. Dex treatment attenuated the inflammatory response by regulating the lncH19/miR-324-3p cascade.

The therapeutic potential of mitochondrial transplantation for the treatment of neurodegenerative disorders

Cesar Espino De la Fuente-Munoz et al.

Summary: Mitochondrial activity is crucial for neural function, and alterations in mitochondrial integrity and activity can lead to synaptic damage and neuronal death in degenerative diseases. Mitochondrial transplantation has shown potential in treating disorders of the nervous system and is currently under investigation.

Young plasma administration mitigates depression-like behaviours in chronic mild stress-exposed aged rats by attenuating apoptosis in prefrontal cortex

Arshad Ghaffari-Nasab et al.

Summary: Repeated transfusion of young plasma can improve depressive behavior in aged rats, associated with reduced apoptosis process in the prefrontal cortex. Young plasma partially improves the neuropathology of late-life depression through apoptotic signaling pathways.

Neuroinflammation and the Kynurenine Pathway in CNS Disease: Molecular Mechanisms and Therapeutic Implications

Mustafa N. Mithaiwala et al.

Summary: Diseases of the central nervous system (CNS) present significant global health, social, and economic challenges, with neuroinflammation potentially serving as a common link between various neurological disorders. Exploring the relationship between neuroinflammation, the kynurenine pathway, and CNS diseases can provide insights for developing effective treatment strategies.
