Application of non-equidistant GM(1,1) model based on the fractional-order accumulation in building settlement monitoring

Jun Zhang et al.

Summary: In this study, the fractional-order non-equidistant GM(1,1) model (FNEGM) is established to improve the accuracy of building settlement prediction. The optimal parameters are obtained using the whale optimization algorithm, and the prediction performance of FNEGM model is evaluated against two other grey prediction models.

BeatClass: A Sustainable ECG Classification System in IoT-Based eHealth

Le Sun et al.

Summary: With the rapid development of IoT, using mobile devices to remotely monitor the physiological signals of patients with chronic diseases has become convenient. However, accurately classifying arrhythmia, especially supraventricular ectopic beat, and dealing with class imbalance in eHealth pose challenges. To address these challenges, researchers propose a sustainable deep learning-based heart beat classification system, BeatClass, which consists of stacked bidirectional LSTMs, Rist and Morst, and a generative adversarial network, MorphGAN. Experimental results show that BeatClass significantly improves classification performance and sustains across different physical signal datasets.

Forecasting the hydroelectricity consumption of China by using a novel unbiased nonlinear grey Bernoulli model

Chengli Zheng et al.

Summary: The consumption of hydroelectricity in China is on the rise, and a new method utilizing grey modeling technique has been developed to estimate this consumption. The novel model constructed in the study eliminates inherent errors and adjusts nonlinear parameters, improving prediction accuracy. Forecasts suggest a continuous increase in hydroelectricity consumption in the future, albeit with a slightly slower growth rate.
