In this study, AgBr/Ag3PO4 heterojunctions were prepared using a precipitation method assisted by 1methoxyethyl-3-methylimidazolium bromide salt ([MOEMIm]Br). The photocatalytic activity of the samples was evaluated by degrading rhodamine B (RhB) and tetracycline (TC). The results showed that the sample with a molar ratio of 8% AgBr/Ag3PO4 exhibited the best activity with visible light, with a degradation rate constant of RhB about 34 times higher than that on Ag3PO4.
In this contribution, AgBr/Ag3PO4 heterojunctions were prepared through a precipitation method assisted by 1methoxyethyl-3-methylimidazolium bromide salt ([MOEMIm]Br). [MOEMIm]Br acts as a solvent in the preparation of heterojunctions and provides Br source for the composites. The samples were analyzed by serval analytical methods. Photocatalytic activity was evaluated by degradation of rhodamine B (RhB) and tetracycline (TC), respectively. The results show that when the molar ratio of AgBr/Ag3PO4 is 8%, the sample exhibits the best activity with visible light, and the degradation rate constant of RhB on the heterojunctions is about 34 times higher than that on Ag3PO4, the degradation of TC on the heterojunctions is also improved. This demonstration provides a reference for construction of heterojunctions by an ionic liquid-assisted precipitation method.
