Thermoelastoviscoplastic Bilinear Compressive Constitutive Law of an AlSi-PE Abradable Material Based on Experimental Investigations

Summary: This paper investigates the quasi-static compression behavior of a porous AlSi-PE abradable material used in the low-pressure compressor of aircraft engines and proposes a thermoelastoviscoplastic bilinear constitutive law based on tests conducted at high compression strain-rates and extreme temperatures. This formulation allows for the prediction of the macroscopic behavior of the material under different temperature and strain-rate conditions.
