This study proposes the use of nanosecond laser pulses to obtain microsamples of paint layers and subsequently identify the substances using Raman microspectroscopy. It is demonstrated that the ablation of the paint layer on primed canvas is a two-threshold process. The proposed technique can be employed for the study of paintings.
