An integral terminal sliding mode control scheme for speed control system using a double-variable hydraulic transformer

Wei Shen et al.

Summary: This paper proposes a new type of double-variable hydraulic transformer (DVHT) and addresses the control issue in the Common Pressure Rail (CPR) system. By adjusting the displacement, DVHT can achieve pressure regulation while maintaining cylinder speed in the high-efficiency area. A new control strategy is designed for the two control variables, and an adaptive integral terminal sliding mode controller is proposed to ensure system robustness. Simulation results demonstrate the feasibility of DVHT and show that the control method can achieve multitasking control and effectively improve control effectiveness.

Finite-Time Trajectory Tracking Control for Rodless Pneumatic Cylinder Systems With Disturbances

Ling Zhao et al.

Summary: This article studies the finite-time trajectory tracking control problem for a rodless pneumatic cylinder system with disturbance in an inner outer loop framework. In the inner loop system, a generalized nonlinear extended state observer and an inner loop controller are designed to estimate and compensate the matched disturbances, respectively. The generalized nonlinear extended state observer achieves desired convergence performance under relaxed existence conditions. In the outer-loop system, a super twisting extended state observer and an outer loop controller are designed to estimate and compensate the unmatched disturbances, respectively. The super twisting extended state observer is designed to realize finite-time stable by using the super twisting technology. Finally, experimental results demonstrate that finite-time control performances are achieved by the proposed control strategy.

Robust observer-based stabilizer for perturbed nonlinear complex financial systems with market confidence and ethics risks by finite-time integral sliding mode control

Mohammad Javad Mirzaei et al.

Summary: This paper investigates the finite-time stabilization of nonlinear chaotic financial system (NCFS) by designing a robust adaptive finite-time stabilizer based on a finite-time disturbance observer (FTDO). The FTDO allows for exact estimation of perturbations, leading to better transient performance compared to other methods. A continuous control input is developed based on the FTDO to avoid chattering effects and achieve a free-chattering terminal sliding mode control to drive state errors of the financial system towards zero in finite time. The proposed adaptive observer-based control strategy preserves the original structure of the system and can be applied to stabilize other chaotic systems, including dynamic economic systems. Through numerical simulations, the efficiency and reliability of the approach have been demonstrated.
