True doping levels in hydrothermally derived copper-doped ceria

Katarina Muzina et al.

Summary: This study investigates hydrothermally derived ceria nanoparticles doped with copper in various concentrations. The addition of copper influences ceria properties significantly, with changes observed in particle size, specific surface area, band gap, and reducibility. By analyzing XRD, ICP-MS, TEM, UV-Vis DRS, and H-2-TPR, it was found that copper is incorporated into the ceria crystal lattice in lower amounts than expected.
