Dietary resveratrol alleviated lipopolysaccharide-induced ileitis through Nrf2 and NF-κB signalling pathways in ducks (Anas platyrhynchos)

Hao Yang et al.

Summary: This study demonstrated that resveratrol could alleviate LPS-induced duck ileitis through various mechanisms, including maintaining intestinal barrier integrity by upregulating tight junction protein expression, reducing oxidative stress levels, activating antioxidant enzymes, and suppressing inflammatory responses. Additionally, resveratrol acted on Nrf2 and NF-kappa B signaling pathways to mitigate intestinal damage, with 500 mg/kg of dietary resveratrol being the most effective.

Sodium butyrate alleviates intestinal injury and microbial flora disturbance induced by lipopolysaccharides in rats

Xiujing Dou et al.

Summary: This study found that sodium butyrate can alleviate lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced intestinal inflammation by reducing intestinal damage and regulating the microbiota. Sodium butyrate supplementation decreased the expression of inflammatory genes and improved the damage to the intestinal nucleus and mitochondria caused by LPS. Moreover, sodium butyrate regulated the intestinal barrier and restored the balance of the microbiota.

Nanocurcumin alleviates inflammation and oxidative stress in LPS-induced mastitis via activation of Nrf2 and suppressing TLR4-mediated NF-κB and HMGB1 signaling pathways in rats

Mohamed A. Lebda et al.

Summary: Research using a rat model found that nanocurcumin exhibited antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects in preventing LPS-induced coliform mastitis, reducing lipid peroxidation, pro-inflammatory cytokine release, and improving glutathione levels, Nrf2 activity, while preserving alveolar architecture.

Curcumin mitigates aflatoxin B1-induced liver injury via regulating the NLRP3 inflammasome and Nrf2 signaling pathway

Yingjie Wang et al.

Summary: This study investigated the protective effects of curcumin against AFB1-induced liver injury in mice. Curcumin was found to attenuate AFB1-induced weight loss and liver damage by mitigating alterations in pathology and liver function. It reduced the accumulation of AFB1-DNA adducts in the liver and alleviated hepatotoxicity by inhibiting oxidative stress and potentiating detoxification enzymes. Additionally, curcumin reduced AFB1-induced pyroptosis and modulated the NLRP3 inflammasome and Nrf2 signaling pathways.
