Recursive Filtering With Measurement Fading: A Multiple Description Coding Scheme

Licheng Wang et al.

Summary: This article explores the recursive filtering problem for a class of discrete-time nonlinear stochastic systems with fading measurements, utilizing a multiple description coding scheme to minimize error variance and improve efficiency in data transmission. By introducing independent Bernoulli distributed random variables and modeling channel fading with the Mth-order Rice fading model, the study aims to design a recursive filter that can effectively handle stochastic noises, channel fading, and data coding-decoding mechanisms simultaneously. Through the use of Riccati difference equations and stochastic analysis, the explicit form of desired filter parameters is derived, and a simulation experiment is provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of the developed filtering scheme.

Distributed recursive filtering for multi-sensor networked systems with multi-step sensor delays, missing measurements and correlated noise

Jiahao Zhang et al.

Summary: This paper presents a distributed recursive filtering algorithm for discrete-time nonlinear multi sensor networked system with multi-step sensor delays, missing measurements, and correlated noise. An adaptive time delay estimation method and a nonlinear system model based on Bernoulli distributed random variables are proposed. The algorithm combines linear fitting and weighted average consensus to solve the nonlinear state estimation problem in the multi-sensor networked system, with a selection strategy based on innovation statistical distance for weighted factors to improve fusion accuracy. The filtering errors of the proposed algorithm are proven to be exponentially bounded in mean square, and numerical simulations are conducted to evaluate its performance.

Synchronization Control for Chaotic Neural Networks with Mixed Delays Under Input Saturations

Liuyuan Chen et al.

Summary: This paper addresses the exponential synchronization problem for chaotic neural networks with delays and input saturations, focusing on designing a saturated feedback controller for local exponential stability. By utilizing delay-dependent sector conditions and augmented Lyapunov-Krasovskii functionals, sufficient conditions are established through linear matrix inequalities. Additionally, optimization problems are proposed to maximize the estimate of the domain of attraction, with simulation examples demonstrating the effectiveness and benefits of the results obtained.
