Voltammetric Determination of Various Food Azo Dyes Using Different Modified Carbon Paste Electrodes

Summary: The food industry has been rapidly developing by improving the taste, odor, and appearance of food products through the addition of various preservatives, sweeteners, and coloring agents. However, the frequent use of synthetic azo dyes, which are cheaper than natural dyes, can cause serious health issues. Therefore, it is important to control their use or measure the optimal level of these dyes in food and beverages. Cyclic voltammetry is a simple, accurate, fast, economical, and highly sensitive method for detecting azo dyes in food.
