Magnetocaloric properties of Fe-substituted La-Sr-manganites

S. A. Uporov et al.

Summary: The effect of Fe doping on the structural, magnetic and magnetocaloric properties of La1-xSrxMn1-yFeyO3 manganites has been studied. The substitution of manganese by iron leads to changes in crystal structure, phase state, and phase transitions. The Curie temperature and Curie-Weiss temperature decrease with increasing Fe content.

Reversibility of the Magnetocaloric Effect in the Bean-Rodbell Model

Luis M. Moreno-Ramirez et al.

Summary: The study evaluates the reversible magnetocaloric response associated with magnetoelastic transitions using the Bean-Rodbell model, which distinguishes between second- and first-order transitions by modifying the eta parameter. The Temperature-averaged Entropy Change (TEC) is an effective figure of merit for magnetocaloric materials, with first-order transitions showing better TEC performance under larger magnetic fields.
