We obtained the exact analytical solution for a continuously driven qutrit in different configurations, and calculated the linear susceptibility in each system. We identified regimes of transient gain without inversion and identified parameter values for specific effects such as superluminal, vanishing, and negative group velocity for the probe field.
We obtain the exact analytical solution for the continuously driven qutrit in the V and ? configurations governed by the Lindblad master equation.
