In this study, dopant-free CMT was utilized as the hole-transport layer in perovskite solar cells, resulting in improved efficiency. The findings of this research are significant for the commercialization of perovskite solar cells.
Dopant-free hole-transport materials (HTMs) withfacilesynthesisroutesandwell-matchedhighestoccupiedmolecular orbital (HOMO) energy levels are paramount forcommercialization of perovskite solar cells (pero-SCs). In thisarticle, dopant-free CMT with the nitrogen atom in the center ofthe simple structure and well-matched HOMO energy levels hasbeen applied in MAPbI3-based p-i-n pero-SCs as the hole-transportlayer (HTL). The optimized efficiency achieved turned out to be20.4%, which is higher than the efficiency of 13.05% obtained whenCMT was applied in MAPbI3-based n-i-p pero-SCs, with an opencircuit voltage of 1.08 V, a short circuit current of 23.27 mA/cm2,and afill factor of 81.45%
