The Quantified Behavioral Test Failed to Differentiate ADHD in Adolescents With Neurodevelopmental Problems

Viktoria Johansson et al.

Summary: The research found that QbTest lacks validity as a diagnostic test for ADHD in adolescents, and also cannot differentiate between ADHD and other neurodevelopmental disorders. Clinicians need to be aware of the poor discriminating power of the QbTest.

A Within-Sample Comparison of Two Innovative Neuropsychological Tests for Assessing ADHD

Anna Baader et al.

Summary: The study found a positive correlation between two commercial continuous performance tests for inattention in ADHD patients, but low correlation with clinical parameters. Hyperactivity did not correlate between the two tests, but current ADHD symptoms were associated with motor activity and hyperactivity in the two tests. Overall, the tests had limited comparability and low correlation with clinical parameters, making them not recommended for clinical use.

A Novel Robot-Assisted Kinematic Measure for Children with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder: A Preliminary Study

Aran Min et al.

Summary: The study utilized a newly developed Robot-assisted Kinematic Measure (RAKMA) tool to objectively measure hyperactivity symptoms in children with ADHD. Results showed significant differences in RAKMA variables between the ADHD and healthy control groups, as well as significant correlations between various ADHD clinical scale scores and RAKMA variables. Further research with larger samples is needed.

The Impact of Methylphenidate on QbTest Performance of Children with ADHD: A Retrospective Clinical Study

Rajna Knez et al.

Summary: The study found that after receiving a single methylphenidate (MPH) dose, children and adolescents with ADHD showed significant improvements in attention and motor activity parameters on the QbTest, with less improvement seen in impulsivity. Improvement in one parameter does not necessarily mean improvement in the other two, and deterioration may occur, especially in impulsivity.
