Solute-solvent interactions of ibuprofen in the aqueous solutions of 1-propanol: Volumetric, acoustic and viscometric study

Abbas Mehrdad et al.

Summary: The study investigated the solute-solvent and solute-solute interactions in mixtures of ibuprofen with water and 1-propanol. Results showed that solute-solvent interactions decrease with increasing temperature, and also decrease with decreasing weight fraction of 1-propanol, possibly due to preferential solvation of ibuprofen with 1-propanol.

Effect of choline-based ionic liquids on thermodynamic and transport properties of aqueous diphenhydramine hydrochloric acid solutions

Mohammad Reza Behboudi et al.

Summary: In this study, isopiestic measurements were conducted to investigate the interactions between diphenhydramine hydrochloric acid and two ionic liquids. The results showed unfavorable interactions between both ionic liquids and the drug, supported by the negative deviation of water isoactivity lines and positive transfer Gibbs energy values. Furthermore, the negative transfer molar volumes suggested that interactions were more weakened at higher concentrations of ionic liquids.

Effect of Processing/Formulation Parameters on Particle Size of Nanoemulsions Containing Ibuprofen-An Artificial Neural Networks

Ali Hanafi et al.

Summary: The study showed that increasing exposure time has a positive effect on reducing droplet size in nanoemulsions containing ibuprofen. The impact of ethanol and Tween 80 concentrations on droplet size depends on the amount of ibuprofen present. In general, to achieve minimum particle size, exposure time should be maximized.
