A note on Clifford bundles and certain Finsler type spaces

Ricardo Gallego Torrome

Summary: In this study, a relation between certain extensions of the Clifford bundle and Finsler type structures was investigated, showing a triangle map between Finsler structures constructed from a (pseudo)-Riemannian metric and 1-forms on M for flat metrics.

A field theory in Randers-Finsler spacetime

J. E. G. Silva

Summary: Finsler geometry serves as a natural arena for studying spacetime physics with local Lorentz violation by encoding these effects through the directional dependence of the Finsler metric. A classical field theory is proposed in a special Randers-Finsler spacetime, where Lorentz violation is introduced by a background vector field, leading to nonlocal terms and Standard Model Extension terms that reveal perturbative Lorentz violation.

Randers pp-waves

Sjors Heefer et al.

Summary: In this work, Randers spacetimes of Berwald type in Finsler gravity were studied, showing that the field equation for this class is equivalent to the vanishing of the Finsler Ricci tensor, similar to Einstein gravity. Exact solutions for vacuum Finsler gravity in the form of Ricci-flat Lorentzian spacetime and a 1-form defined by CCNV were constructed, with these solutions referred to as Randers pp-waves due to their association with the well-known pp-waves in this class.

Reaching the Planck scale with muon lifetime measurements

Iarley P. Lobo et al.

Summary: This study investigates the effects of Planck scale modified dispersion relations on the propagation of fundamental point particles. By constructing Finsler length measurements, time dilation formulas are derived. The research suggests that momentum Lorentz factors in present and future colliders may be large enough to constrain the realization of dispersion relations.
