Improved magnetic properties of FeSiCr amorphous soft magnetic composites by adding carbonyl iron powder

Chao Xia et al.

Summary: Through investigating the effect of carbonyl iron powder (CIP) content on FeSiCr amorphous SMCs, it was found that with the increase of CIP content, the relative density and magnetic permeability were significantly improved, but the growth rate of density gradually decreased and could be divided into three grades. At 30 wt.% CIP content, the magnetic loss of FeSiCr SMC treated at 500 degrees Celsius was the smallest.

N-doped carbon-coated Fe3N composite as heterogeneous electro-Fenton catalyst for efficient degradation of organics

Juan Xiao et al.

Summary: In this study, a N-doped graphitic-carbon-coated iron nitride composite was investigated as a heterogeneous electro-Fenton catalyst for efficient removal of organics. The composite showed high activity and stability in decomposing H2O2 to center dot OH and exhibited outstanding performance in removing various organic pollutants with low iron leaching. This work highlights the potential of the MOF-derived Fe3N composite as an efficient catalyst for wastewater treatment.
