SnO2 nanostructured materials used as gas sensors for the detection of hazardous and flammable gases: A review

Yulin Kong et al.

Summary: SnO2 has been extensively used as a gas sensing material due to its excellent properties and reliability. However, traditional SnO2 gas sensors have limitations such as high work temperature, low gas response, and poor selectivity. The application of nanotechnology in preparing SnO2 nanomaterials can improve the performance of gas sensors, leading to expanded applications.

Spray rate effects on the NO2 gas sensor properties of Ni-doped SnO2 nanoflakes

Qutaiba A. Abduljabbar et al.

Summary: Nickel-doped tin dioxide (NSO) nanostructured thin films were deposited using chemical spray pyrolysis, and their structural, morphological, and optical properties were investigated. The deposition rate was found to affect the surface morphology and gas sensitivity of the films. The NSO thin film-based NO2 gas sensor exhibited high sensitivity and fast response under optimal conditions.

Nitrogen Dioxide Gas Sensor of In2O3-ZnO Polyhedron Nanostructures

Jassim M. Marei et al.

Summary: Research on heterostructure thin films of indium oxide and zinc oxides prepared using the chemical spray pyrolysis technique at various substrate temperatures revealed that the crystallinity and size of the particles were enhanced with increasing temperature. SEM images showed that the particle shapes and connections varied with temperature, and the films showed potential applications in the detection of nitrogen dioxide gas.

Nanoparticles of CuO thin films for room temperature NO2 gas detection: Annealing time effect

Batool Eneaze Al-Jumaili et al.

Summary: This study investigated the effect of annealing time on the sensing properties of cupric oxide nanoparticles deposited on black silicon as a gas sensor device. The results showed that annealing time played a crucial role in increasing sensitivity of the prepared CuO/BSi thin films, but excessive annealing time led to a decrease in sensitivity.
