Lightweight PPy aerogel adopted with Co and SiO 2 nanoparticles for enhanced electromagnetic wave absorption

Summary: Lightweight nanocomposites made of magnetic and dielectric units have attracted great interest as potential high-performance electromagnetic wave absorbing materials. This study reports a method to fabricate (Co, SiO2)/PPy composites with tunable electromagnetic properties, where the absorption performance and effective bandwidth can be controlled by adjusting the SiO2 content. These composites show efficient absorption, covering the entire X band, with key factors including improved impedance matching, high interfacial polarization, and complex electromagnetic synergy.

Enhanced microwave absorption properties of flake-shaped FeCo/BaFe12O19 composites

Summary: Flake-shaped FeCo/BaFe12O19 composites with remarkable microwave absorption performance were successfully prepared through a two-step process involving ball milling and sol-gel treatment. Flexible control of applicable frequency ranges of the composites is achievable by changing mass fractions of BaFe12O19. The minimum reflection loss can reach -51.22 dB with effective loss of < 10 dB at a BaFe12O19 mass fraction of 20%.

Dielectric behavior of Fe3N@C composites with green synthesis and their remarkable electromagnetic wave absorption performance

Summary: Fe3N is considered a new generation of ideal ferromagnetic materials due to its high saturated magnetization and resistance to oxidation. This study investigated a facile and eco-friendly method for Fe3N fabrication using gelatin derived from fish skin as a carbon source and amino acids as a nitrogen source. The influence of graphitization degree on dielectric behavior in composites was also explored, with findings indicating the degree of graphitization affects orientation speed of dipoles and conductive loss.

MOFs-derived flaky carbonyl iron/Co@C core-shell composites for thin thickness and broadband microwave absorption materials

Interface design and dielectric response behavior of SiO2/PB composites with low dielectric constant and ultra-low dielectric loss
