Highly efficient solid-state Raman yellow-orange lasers created by enhancing the cavity reflectivity

Y. F. Chen et al.

Summary: The new output coupler significantly improves the output power and efficiency of the laser, with the double-sided coating effectively increasing the cavity reflectivity. This results in a conversion efficiency of 26.3% for the yellow laser and an output power of 7.0 W for the orange laser, representing a significant enhancement in performance.

Passively Q-switched YVO4 Raman operation with 816 and 890 cm-1 shifts by respective Raman configurations

Li Zhang et al.

Summary: This study demonstrated passively Q-switched operation of Nd:YAP/Cr4+:YAG/YVO4 Raman lasers with different shifts and investigated the output power and conversion efficiency. Experimental results showed that despite different transmittance losses, the thresholds were similar, with the pulse repetition frequency mainly determined by the Raman conversion efficiency. These findings provide valuable reference for the design of passively Q-switched Raman lasers.
