Novel Eu-MOF-based mixed matrix membranes and 1D Eu-MOF-based ratiometric fluorescent sensor for the detection of metronidazole and PA in water

Haihuan Yu et al.

Summary: Metal-organic framework-based mixed matrix membranes and ratiometric fluorescent sensors have garnered attention for sensing applications. A two-dimensional europium-based metal-organic framework, CUST-506, was synthesized and characterized, leading to the successful preparation of Eu-MOF-based mixed matrix membranes (CUST-506-based MMMs) with excellent processability and water stability. By anchoring formic acid during hydrothermal synthesis, a one-dimensional compound CUST-507 with dual emission centers was generated, showing unique auto-calibration effects and sensitive sensing capabilities.
