Electrochemical decomposition of PPCPs on hydrophobic Ti/SnO2-Sb/La-PbO2 anodes: Relationship between surface hydrophobicity and decomposition performance

Fabrication of a Ti/PbO2 electrode with Sb doped SnO2 nanoflowers as the middle layer for the degradation of methylene blue, norfloxacin and p-dihydroxybenzene

Summary: This study prepared a novel PbO2 electrode with a three-dimensional Sb-doped SnO2 nanoflowers interlayer with good conductivity on a titanium substrate using a hydrothermal method. The electrode exhibited higher active sites, stronger ·OH generation ability, and improved degradation performance for various organic compounds compared to traditional PbO2 anodes. Additionally, the 3D interlayer enhanced anode stability and safety, prolonging the lifetime significantly.

Summary: This study fabricated Prussian blue analogues@MXene composite (PBA@MXene) as a heterogeneous catalyst for the oxidative degradation of coumarin (COU) activated by peroxymonosulfate. The pH strongly influenced the degradation process, with alkaline conditions showing higher efficiency. Radical scavenger tests and mechanism studies indicated the role of Lewis-acid sites on the catalyst surface in COU degradation at different pH levels. This work demonstrated the effectiveness of 1.2PBA@MXene as a catalyst for COU degradation and elucidated the importance of Lewis-acid sites in MXene-based catalysts.

Freestanding 3-dimensional macro-porous SnO2 electrodes for efficient electrochemical degradation of antibiotics in wastewater

Co/La modified Ti/PbO2 anodes for chloramphenicol degradation: Catalytic performance and reaction mechanism

Preparation and characterization of Nd-Sb co-doped SnO2 nanoflower electrode by hydrothermal method for the degradation of norfloxacin

Facile construction of 2D MXene (Ti3C2Tx) based aerogels with effective fire-resistance and electromagnetic interference shielding performance

Summary: A facile method to fabricate cellulose nanofiber (CNF)/ammonium polyphosphate (APP)/Ti3C2Tx composite aerogels was demonstrated, showing excellent fire-resistance and high-performance EMI shielding effectiveness. The composite aerogel with high electrical conductivity and multiple reflections from the porous structure is a competitive product for high-performance EMI shielding material.

Co/Sm-modified Ti/PbO2 anode for atrazine degradation: Effective electrocatalytic performance and degradation mechanism

The degradation mechanism of atrazine was proposed based on the detection of degradation intermediates, suggesting Ti/PbO2 Co-Sm as a promising electrode for atrazine degradation.

Preparation and characterization of Nano-SiC doped PbO2 electrode for degradation of toluene diamine

Summary: A novel PbO2 electrode with nano-SiC modification was fabricated to enhance anode oxidation ability and stability. The Ti/SiC-PbO2 electrode showed satisfactory COD removal efficiency and economical current efficiency, as well as higher oxygen evolution over-potential and lower charge transfer resistance compared to traditional PbO2 electrodes. This indicates a promising potential for addressing water pollution issues.

Preparation of MgTi2O5 nanoparticles for sonophotocatalytic degradation of triphenylmethane dyes

Summary: The study introduced MgTi2O5 nanoparticles prepared by a simple hydrothermal assisted post-annealing method and evaluated their catalytic properties using the degradation of triphenylmethane dyes. Lattice oxygen of PbO2 induces crystal facet dependent electrochemical ozone production
