Phytochemical profiling and anti-aging activities of Euphorbia retusa extract: In silico and in vitro studies

Abdelbaset M. Elgamal et al.

Summary: This study identified 21 secondary metabolites in the aerial parts of Euphorbia retusa, including phenolic acids and flavonoids. Four compounds were isolated and their chemical structures elucidated, with kaempferol-3-O-glucuronide and esculetin being identified for the first time. In vitro assays revealed potential bioactivity against enzymes involved in skin remodeling and aging processes.
