Nanoconfined Liquid Phase Nanoextraction Based on Carbon Nanofibers

Summary: The innovative and versatile microextraction technique based on nanoconfined solvent on carbon nanofibers allows easy modulation of extraction capabilities towards polar, medium polar, and nonpolar substances. The nanoconfined liquid phase nanoextraction process shows excellent characteristics in terms of extraction recoveries, extraction time, reliability, and versatility. Additionally, a needle-tip device has been developed for direct and minimally invasive analyte extraction, making this technique a powerful candidate for high-throughput analyses of biological samples.

Magnetic solid phase extraction followed by in-situ derivatization with core-shell structured titanium dioxide coated ferriferrous oxide microspheres for determination of alendronate in plasma

Summary: A novel method was developed in this study for determining alendronate in plasma, by combining magnetic solid phase extraction with in-situ derivatization. The method showed good linearity, low detection limit, high accuracy and precision, reducing manual operation and analysis time compared to other methods. It was successfully applied to a pharmacokinetic study in beagle dogs.
