Conventional mobile phone colorimetry usually uses RGB color mode to measure the concentration of solutions, but this paper suggests using hue (H) to measure the concentration of copper ions. However, experimental results show that the hue (H) value is not related to the concentration, indicating that the amount of copper ions in a solution cannot be determined by hue (H) values.

It is pointed out that theHvalue increases with the increase of coppernitrate concentration. However, our experimental results show that theHvalue does notchange with the concentration, which indicates that the amount of copper ions in a solutioncannot be determined byHvalues. The errors in the paper may come from the deficiencies of materials and methods, resulting in large deviations
