The liquid densities and viscosities of ethyl caprate/1-propanol mixture at different molar fractions were investigated in this study. Experimental measurements were carried out and the results were fitted with mathematical equations. The comparison showed that the deviation between experimental and calculated values was small.
The liquid densities and viscosities of ethyl caprate/1-propanol mixture were investigated at ethyl caprate molar fractions of 0.25, 0.50, and 0.75 in this work. The measurements were carried out using a vibrating-tube densimeter and a falling-cylinder viscometer, and the studied temperature range was from 293 to 363 K, and the pressure was up to 60 MPa for density and 30 MPa for viscosity. The Tait equation was used to correlate the experimental densities. In addition, for comparison purpose, the modified Andrade equation and the Vogel-Fulcher-Tammann (VFT) equation were used to correlate the viscosities. For the density and viscosity of the mixtures at different molar fractions, the average absolute relative deviations between experimental and calculated values are all less than 0.01 and 0.47%, respectively.
