Summary: Hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy is a common inherited cardiac disorder that often impacts quality of life significantly. While sternotomy is the most common approach for myectomy, video-assisted transaortic approach may offer a more precise and complete resection, potentially benefiting more patients and expanding the eligibility for surgical intervention, especially for frail patients.
