Summary: This study aims to prepare a biomimetic osteochondral gradient scaffold for repairing cartilage defects using chitosan, gelatin, nanohydroxyapatite, and bone-derived materials. The scaffold successfully simulates the structure of natural cartilage and promotes the differentiation of adipose mesenchymal stem cells into chondrocytes and osteoblasts. These findings suggest that the scaffold, along with the dynamic environment, can improve cell regulation and provide a feasible plan for osteochondral regeneration.

Monetite addition into gelatin based freeze-dried scaffolds for improved mechanical and osteogenic properties

Hyaluronic acid-functionalized poly-lactic acid (PLA) microfibers regulate vascular endothelial cell proliferation and phenotypic shape expression

Summary: This study evaluated the efficacy of hyaluronic acid functionalized tubular poly-lactic acid microfibers in directing the luminal pre-endothelialization of vascular endothelial cells. The results showed that HA/PLA microfibers had improved wettability and surface energy, leading to enhanced endothelial cell proliferation and gene expression. Overall, the biophysical cues of the scaffolds were found to be potent regulators of vascular endothelial cell endothelialization.
